Atomic Arcade has released two new in-engine renders of the famous GI Joe assassin, showing off a blood-soaked katana and Snake Eyes holding a rifle. There's not a whole lot to go on--these are just teasers after all--but Snake Eyes does have a rope and it's likely we'll be using a grappling hook to traverse in-game areas.

"We are hard at work on our game centered on Snake Eyes, the legendary ninja/commando from G.I. Joe, and we wanted to share a glimpse of the awesome work our team is doing. Here is a peek at our Snake Eyes character model rendered in-engine," the devs shared on Twitter.

Announced in 2022, the new Snake Eyes game is a AAA, multi-platform project that will deliver a "bold and contemporary new take on the GI Joe universe starring the legendary character Snake Eyes."

Interestingly enough, Atomic Arcade has deleted the first development update for the game that had been posted in July 2023, so we're not exactly sure what to make of that. We've included the dev update below, but it's likely been deleted because it is outdated.
