Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 has now sold more than 3 million copies in its first 3 months on the market, developer Warhorse has announced.

Recently revealed sales figures show that KCD2 is a big success for independent developer Warhorse Studios. The Prague-based group has sold 3 million copies of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 on all platforms in just 3 months, with the game also seeing high acclaim from players. The sequel currently sits at an 88 Metacritic rating and is in the running for game of the year.
"Over 3 million Henrys setting out on their adventures - and leaving their mark on Bohemia. Thank you for every quest completed, every battle fought, and every story written!" Warhorse writes on Twitter.
All-told, the Kingdom Come franchise has achieved an impressive 10 million sales, including KCD1, which is at 7 million, and KCD2, at 3 million. The developers recently released a new update that adds a blistering permadeath hardcore mode to the game. Warhorse is also committed to bringing new expansions to KCD2, with the first expansion, Brushes with Death, arriving in mid-May.
The studio hasn't talked a whole lot about Brushes with Death in official communication posts, but dev livestream #7 did reveal that the new artist NPC introduced in the expansion can paint a shield for you via a new decal customization system. No pricing has been revealed for the expansion.
"With the paid DLC there will be a new story, and a new feature, which is shield-painting," Warhorse said in the stream.
