Ready or Not, the tactical shooter which is designed around providing a realistic SWAT team experience, has now sold over nine million copies on PC, we've been told.
Wccftech spotted the announcement from Void Interactive's CEO, Julio Rodriguez, who wrote in a press release: "As we approach 10 million units sold on Steam, we're beyond excited to bring the experience to console players worldwide."

It'll offer full crossplay between PC and those consoles, too.
As noted, this isn't a guns-blazing shooter, but a much more measured affair where you've got to follow the rules of engagement and go by the proverbial book. There's a tense and authentic feeling atmosphere, by all accounts, as long as the players are taking the game seriously, that is.
If playing with AI teammates, do note, however, that one of the criticisms is that the AI is pretty wonky. Although Ready or Not wouldn't be the first offender in that particular category, of course.
It's a popular tactical shooter, and for many, scratches the itch that Rainbow Six no longer does - even if it sounds like some aspects of Ready or Not could use a bit more polish. Indeed, perhaps that polish will be applied when it comes to the release of the console versions of the shooter in a few months.
