After a big leak, Bethesda has officially unveiled the remaster for The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, a title released in 2006 that helped put the publisher and developer on the path to becoming the RPG powerhouse they are today.
The long-awaited reveal for Oblivion remaster has shaken the internet as fans of the original game that was released in 2006 gathered for the official livestream on the Bethesda YouTube channel. The showcase revealed the significant graphical improvements Bethesda and developer Virtuoso have made to the remastered version of the game, which, with the power of Unreal Engine 5, has added a much-needed fresh coat of modern graphical paint to a nearly 20-year-old game.
Below are a set of screenshots that Bethesda displayed showing off the graphical improvements versus the original game. The developers explain Oblivion Remastered has undergone a tedious overhaul, with each asset being handcrafted to be brought to modern standards.
