TL;DR: FromSoftware's new trailer for Elden Ring: Nightreign highlights the Raider class, known for its massive damage and unique ability to summon a megalithic stone that keeps teammates safe.

FromSoftware releases another trailer for Elden Ring: Nightreign's list of classes, and this time the Raider is spotlighted.

Elden Ring: Nightreign is a 3-player, online co-op standalone spin-off that emphasizes teamwork and ingenuity. We've already seen the other five Nightreign classes--Wylder, Guardian, Duchess, Iron Eye, and Recluse--and now there's a sixth class, the fearsome raider.

The Raider class doesn't have any info on Bandai Namco's official Nightreign class sheet, but we were able to glean some details from the footage. The Raider's special attack looks incredibly useful because it combines a form of crowd control and evasion in one.

The ability sees the Raider summon a huge megalithic stone which poses some interesting advantages. Enemies are stunned once the stone erupts from the ground, and the Raider and his allies can be lifted up off the ground, which is a pretty big bonus in a game that's as punishing as Elden Ring. This also gives the Iron Eye archer a nice opportunity to pelt enemies below while the Raider charges up a mighty jump attack.

It also looks like the Raider has some sort of block ability--early on in the trailer, we see the Raider buckle down as if to block an incoming attack from the dragon...and he's not knocked back by the blow.

Elden Ring: Nightreign releases May 30 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.

Stand resolute in the chaos of battle. A heart that knows no fear shall carve a path through the Night's tide. The latest Nightfarer character trailer reveals the Raider - a stalwart force to be reckoned with in ELDEN RING™ NIGHTREIGN. With exceptional strength and fortitude, the Raider is able to dish out damage as well as he can take it.
