EA and Lucasfilm Games first announced Respawn's Star Wars strategy game in January 2022, alongside the sequel to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and a Star Wars FPS project, which was cancelled two years later in 2024. Respawn's RTS game has survived, however, and as reported by MP1st, it will be released under the title Star Wars: Zero Company.
Star Wars: Zero Company is being developed in collaboration with Respawn Entertainment and Bit Reactor, a studio formed by former XCOM developers. The title features turn-based tactical gameplay, and previous leaks highlighted imagery including a squad of Mandalorians, a Jedi character, and concept art of the game's possible in-game hub.
Based on information uncovered in an investigation by MP1st, the game is also set to appear at Star Wars Celebration Japan on April 19, 2025, during which more details, a potential gameplay trailer, and a release date are expected to be revealed. Since the January 2022 announcement of Star Wars: Zero Company, little to no official information has been provided regarding the title. However, as the only video game panel featured at Star Wars Celebration, it is expected that fans will finally receive some substantial gameplay information.
Key figures from Bit Reactor, Respawn Entertainment, and Lucasfilm Games will participate in the panel, which will air later this month.
