inZOI is a new take on The Sims-style life simulator that was released into Early Access last week and is currently one of the best-selling titles on the platform. It's a GeForce-friendly title running on Unreal Engine 5 with ray-tracing, DLSS support, and in-game AI characters powered by NVIDIA ACE technologies. However, due to instability issues, the developer recommends that all GeForce RTX 40 Series owners roll back to GeForce Game Ready Driver 566.36 from December 5, 2024, before playing the game.

The First Berserker: Khazan is a new Souls-like action RPG with a dark tone and intense combat that also launched last week. It's another GeForce-friendly title with DLSS 4 support, NVIDIA Reflex, and Frame Generation. However, due to instability issues, the developer recommends that all GeForce RTX 40 Series owners roll back to GeForce Game Ready Driver 566.36 from December 5, 2024, before playing.
With game developers actively recommending that GeForce RTX 40 Series owners roll back to a driver from last year, it sounds like there are serious issues with GeForce Game Ready Drivers from 2025. Hopefully, NVIDIA will formally acknowledge and address this as soon as possible.
Interestingly, the latest GeForce Game Ready drivers are only recommended for GeForce RTX 50 Series gamers. "We'd also like to share the recommended graphics driver versions to help ensure a smoother gameplay experience, especially in response to recent issues reported in certain environments," iZOI's developer writes, adding that if you have a GeForce RTX 30 Series graphics card and are experiencing issues you should also try using GeForce Game Ready Driver 566.36.
This sentiment is also shared by The First Berserker: Khazan's developers, which points to these driver-related problems affecting most of the PC gaming community, as most gamers are using GeForce RTX 30 or RTX 40 Series GPUs.
Ever since NVIDIA launched its GeForce RTX 50 Series earlier this year, GeForce gamers have been reporting issues, from black screens to crashing to general instability that wasn't there before. NVIDIA has been releasing consistent updates and driver hotfixes to address these issues; however, GeForce RTX 40 Series and some GeForce RTX 30 Series owners are still experiencing widespread frame drops and stuttering.
