Rockstar Games has just wrapped up its extended look at Grand Theft Auto 6, showcasing 20 minutes of beautiful in-game cutscenes captured on a PS5, plus official gameplay. What has players guessing now is whether Rockstar plans to offer a first-person mode at launch for those who want to experience Leonida from that close-up perspective.
Unfortunately, for those hoping for a first-person mode at launch, that doesn't seem to be the case. As influencer Davy Jones reported, after being invited to Rockstar North to see exclusive behind-the-scenes footage, he asked about the inclusion of a first-person mode, and the development lead and co-studio head, Rob Nelson, said GTA 6 is primarily built around a third-person camera perspective.

However, Red Dead Redemption 2 shipped with a first-person mode. Given the graphical fidelity, it makes more sense for Rockstar to focus on nailing the third-person camera perspective and then add a first-person mode later, as it has with previous GTA titles.
