NetherRealm Studios is back at it again with yet another trailer, this time we have the Nintendo Switch gameplay trailer that showcases some new story mode scenes.

Almost two weeks ago now, Mortal Kombat Director for NetherRealm Studios, Ed Boon was asked about the Nintendo Switch version of Mortal Kombat 11. The main question that Switch users were dying to find out was if the game was going to run at 30FPS or 60FPS, according to Boon "Switch version is going to run at 60FPS." With that question answered, the next would be how much have NetherRealm downscaled the graphics to hit that solid 60FPS. Now we get a chance to look at the Switch gameplay.

Judging from the above gameplay video, Mortal Kombat 11 has definitely been downscaled graphically across the board to account for the hardware limitations of the Nintendo Switch. We can notice that the backgrounds during the fights aren't as well lit, and neither is the detail on each of the fighters. Honestly, I would rather NetherRealm sacrifice graphics for performance if that means Mortal Kombat 11 runs at a smooth 60FPS. Mortal Kombat 11 releases on the Xbox One, PS4, PC and Nintendo Switch on April 23.
