Sony Interactive Entertainment released a video today detailing the efforts the studio has gone into designing and implementing Kratos' son Atreus.

The video begins with Lead Gameplay Engineer Jeet Shroff showing us some great gameplay footage of Kratos and Atreus traversing the immense world they are in.

Shroff explains that implementing Atreus was much more difficult than expected, this was mainly due to Kratos not necessarily needing any "help" in combat so the challenge layed on the developers to not make Atreus feel useless. Shroff says that this problem was solved by giving Atreus his own dedicated button, this decision in turn will allow for the player to utilize Atreus in any form of play-style.
