CES 2018 - Gaming hardware maker ASUS has revealed a nifty new solution for bezels in multi-monitor setups.
Bezels can be a problem if you're trying to play, say, a racing game like Project Cars on three monitors. While most gamers probably get used to the interrupted visuals posed by the bezel frames on the outside of displays, wouldn't it be great if there was a way to remove them? ASUS has an answer: lens strips.
As Engadget notes, ASUS' new Bezel-free Kit uses light refraction to pull the image in an apparently-seamless way across the bezel points where the monitors meet. The lens strips need to be mounted at a 130-degree angle, or as ASUS puts it, "the angle determined through extensive testing to provide the best viewing experience."
Pricing has yet to be determined, but the kit will be available in 1H 2018.
