Western Digital add 12TB capacity to the WD Gold lineup

Western Digital has expanded their WD Gold range to include the new 3.5" 12TB WD Gold hard drive. Featuring 256MB cache, 7200RPM performance and a reliability rating of 2.5 million hours MTBF, the new high-capacity hard drive is the perfect solution for enterprise and cloud storage applications.

Available in capacities of 1TB, 2TB, 4TB, 6TB, 8TB, 10tb and now 12TB, these drives utilize Western Digital's 4th generation HelioSeal technology, which seals helium in the drive to help provide exceptional capacity, reliability and power efficiency.

The WD Gold 12TB HDD is priced at $521.99 and is available now through select distributors.
