After a long silence, we've recently seen a spike of activity in terms of rumors for NVIDIA's RTX 5000 Super refresh, and these GPUs have again popped up, this time courtesy of a well-known YouTube leaker.
Moore's Law is Dead's latest video focuses on NVIDIA's GPUs and mainly the rumored Super variants, but also touches on RTX 6000 graphics cards.
And what Moore's Law is Dead (MLID) tells us is pretty much along the lines of the same info he furnished us with last year (in September).

Indeed, the leaked specs have not changed one bit for the rumored RTX 5070 Super, RTX 5070 Ti Super and the RTX 5080 Super. You can see those specs in the screenshot below (note there's a typo here - it should say June 2026, not 2025).

What differences there are from the previous leak of nine months ago consist of some slight adjustments in the theorized gaming performance uplifts that these new GPUs will deliver.
While the RTX 5070 Super remains the same in terms of an 8-12% predicted performance uplift over the vanilla card, MLID has reined in the estimation of the boost that the higher-tier Super refreshes will get by a couple of percent. The upshot is that we can still expect around a 10% boost across the board, though, on average (with NVIDIA cranking up the power consumption to achieve that).
The major addition in this latest leak is the appearance of the RTX 5060, which could also be a Super refresh, but seemingly NVIDIA hasn't quite decided whether to go that route, or to just call its new variant the RTX 5060 12GB. This new nugget of info has already been the subject of some chatter on the grapevine, so it isn't a surprise.
MLID believes that the RTX 5000 Super refreshes will come out either towards the end of 2026 (Q4) or at the beginning of 2027 (Q1). Other rumors have also suggested an arrival late this year, but even if that is NVIDIA's intention now, it could easily slide.
Next-gen no-show so far
As for RTX 6000, MLID says that there's radio silence on these graphics cards, meaning that NVIDIA hasn't made any meaningful progress with the next-gen range yet. The leaker says he believes we're looking at a launch in 2028, so we've got a long time to wait before those GPUs roll around.
Even if the RTX 5000 Super refreshes do appear this year, I'm still doubtful on whether this might be a verging-on-paper launch for NVIDIA. Given the pressures on RAM right now - which, of course, include video RAM, which is piled high on these rumored graphics cards - it'll be tricky for NVIDIA to balance those demands against the pull of AI GPUs that sell for a lot more money.
Although speaking of cash, don't expect the RTX 5080 Super to come cheap - indeed, I dread to think how much of a premium that might command.
