TL;DR: Razer's new Pro Type Ergo wireless keyboard features a split ergonomic design with adjustable angles, plush wrist rest, and ultra-low-profile keys for comfortable, strain-free typing. It includes dedicated macro keys, dual Command Dials, AI Prompt Master, multi-device support, and customizable Chroma RGB lighting, targeting productivity users.

When it comes to keyboards, Razer is best known for its high-performance gaming offerings in the Huntsman and BlackWidow ranges. Today, the company has announced a new productivity-first wireless keyboard, and one designed for ergonomics. At a glance, the standout feature of the new Razer Pro Type Ergo is its split ergonomic layout, which supports natural hand positions for a more comfortable, strain-free typing experience.

A 10-degree base slope, support for multiple angles and tilts, and a built-in plush wrist rest further enhance the comfort and ergonomics. Razer notes that the Pro Type Ergo has been designed for a "productivity market that has barely moved," offering all-day professionals and PC users a comfortable and feature-packed premium keyboard option.

The Razer Pro Type Ergo features ultra-low-profile, finger-shaped keycaps, with a split design that includes two 'B' keys, dual spacebar keys, and a centered backspace key for easy access. It also sports multiple dedicated macro keys, two Razer Command Dials, and shortcut keys for switching between multiple devices.

There's also a dedicated AI Prompt Master button that provides quick access to Razer's versatile AI tool for text summaries, email drafting, and search. As it's a wireless keyboard, it supports low-latency HyperSpeed Wireless, three Bluetooth profiles, and a wired mode. Even though it's a productivity keyboard, you've also got zone-based Chroma RGB backlighting.

"At Razer, we build hardware for people who live on their gear, not just for a few hours at a time," said Barrie Ooi, Head of Razer's PC Gaming Division. "With Pro Type Ergo, we have taken the same performance-driven approach from our gaming keyboards and applied it to modern work. It keeps your hands and shoulders in a more natural position, reduces strain over long sessions, and bakes powerful controls like the Command Dial and AI Prompt Master straight into the keyboard. The result is less discomfort, fewer interruptions, and a faster path through everything you do, whether that is spreadsheets, code, or creative projects."

The new Razer Pro Type Ergo is available now for $189.99 USD.
