Techland has delayed Dying Light The Beast by 4 weeks, with the standalone survival game now launching in September.

The next Dying Light game is almost ready--it just needs more time to cook. Polish developer Techland has announced a month delay for Dying Light The Beast as the team doubles down on quality and presentability. The delay falls in line with recent comments made by the studio; Techland has said that The Beast is so important that they are treating it like Dying Light 3.
"It has always been our goal to make Dying Light: The Beast the best Dying Light game we've ever released. To honor this promise, we've made the decision to move the release date to September 19, 2025 to allow for extra polishing work," the studio said.
"We understand that this may be disappointing, but our experience has shown how important the first impression is. With just four additional weeks, we can address final details that make all the difference between good and great. Areas we want to improve include fine tuning the balance of gameplay elements, looking into clarity of UI, increasing the quality of physics, as well as tweaking cutscenes and player animations further as well as adding last little details."
It's unclear how this delay will impact the release of the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of The Beast. Techland had previously said these versions were coming by the end of 2025, but that was before the gen 9 version was delayed.
Dying Light The Beast will release on September 19, 2025 on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Techland has not made any announcements on the PS4/Xbox One versions yet.
