Diablo 2 celebrates a huge milestone while Blizzard potentially teases more content could be on the way for the classic ARPG.

Diablo 2 was released 25 years ago today on June 28, 2000, and was both then and now one of the most beloved PC games on the planet. The isometric demon-slaying loot simulator helped evolve and refine the ARPG genre, inspiring hits like Path of Exile. But it sounds like Blizzard may not be done with Diablo 2 just yet.
While Blizzard didn't really do anything special for Diablo 2's 25th birthday, they did release a tweet with a cryptic line of text: "If you think you've seen and done it all, just wait for the chaos we've yet to unleash."
After introducing one of the most game-breaking items ever created, Blizzard has been decidedly hands-off with Diablo 2 Resurrected for many ladder seasons in a row, only adding smaller adjustments and tweaks. Players, however, want more expansive content like new weapons, armors, runewords, and maybe even another act.
One of the most popular requests by far is the inclusion of a loot filter within Diablo 2 Resurrected. Players also want to see an overhaul to the stash with material slot presets, as well as stackable resources like gems, runes, etc.
Diablo fans, for their part, aren't getting too hyped about the cryptic post. Users on Reddit remain skeptical about any new content. Oddly enough, Blizzard didn't put up a commemorative post on the official Diablo 2 forums.
One thing to remember right now is that workers at Blizzard Entertainment are currently facing a number of unknown layoffs, alongside all of Microsoft's owned studios, recent Bloomberg reports indicate. There's word that these layoffs could total up to 1,000 people or more.
Based on this uncertainty, Diablo 2 content may be on the back burner for Blizzard right now.
