The Nintendo Switch 2 Direct revealed quite a lot about the upcoming console, and in addition to a juicy new powerful console, Nintendo has made significant improvements to its controllers, particularly the Switch 2 Pro controller.

Nintendo states on its website that the Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller will now take three hours to fully charge, which, when compared to the original Pro Controller, is around 50% less time. Why does this matter? The Switch 2 Pro Controller has a smaller battery than the original Switch Pro controller at 1070 mAh compared to 1,300 mAh, with Nintendo writing gamers can expect around 40 hours of use out of the Switch 2 Pro controller, which is approximately the same as the original Switch Pro controller.
As for other improvements with the Switch 2 Pro controller, Nintendo has added two new buttons on the rear of the controller that can be customized, along with the inclusion of the C-button, which is dedicated to activating GameChat for users with a Nintendo Switch Online subscription. Unsurprisingly, the Switch 2 Pro controller has received a price bump, making the smaller leap from the $80 price tag with the original Switch Pro controller to the $85 price tag for the Switch 2 Pro controller.
