Those who are keenly awaiting the release of Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 will be disappointed to hear that the game has been delayed (again).
We're now told that Bloodlines 2 is set to arrive in October 2025 (on Xbox, PS5 and PC), although that's barring any potential further delays, of course.
As Gamespot noticed, Marco Behrmann, who is executive producer of Bloodlines 2, clarified what's been happening with the title:
"Since our last update, we've added more content to the game, narrative depth, character development, and we have also evolved Fabien's role in the storyline."
Behrmann said that the game is now 'done' but still needs further polishing work to iron out bugs, and ensure it runs smoothly and performs well. And to be fair, it's always worth taking that extra time to make sure a new release runs well right out of the gate.
That said, the developer of Bloodlines 2 has taken a lot of extra time. If you recall, the game was supposed to arrive later in 2024, before being delayed to the first half of 2025 - and now we're looking at the end of the year. Don't forget, this game has been in the works since 2019.
Even so, better to get it right, than rush Bloodlines 2, of course, but at this point, some gamers are getting skeptical, shall we say, as to how the finished product is going to pan out. We'll find out in half a year (hopefully), in what will be a Halloween release, presumably.
