Astrophysicists around the world are looking to the skies at one star, in particular, Betelgeuse, as it's begun to dim, indicating that it could explode relatively soon.

'Betelgeuse' is the closest star to the Sun that will die in supernova

Neil deGrasse Tyson has taken to his personal Twitter account to let the public know that this isn't something anyone should be worried about. Tyson has littered his Twitter page with awesome facts about Betelgeuse, informing the public with information such as Betelgeuse is the "left armpit of the constellation Orion, is mysteriously dimming, having lost 60% of its brightness across the past six months."

He also has said that "Betelgeuse is so large, if you swapped it with the Sun, it would engulf the orbit of Mars and extend all the way through the asteroid belt. No need to panic, but at 700 light-years, it's the closest star to the Sun that will end its life in a Supernova explosion." Tyson also says that Betelgeuse is expected to explode within the next 100,000 years, and the explosion itself will be visible from Earth even within the daytime.

Jak Connor | Science, Space, Health & Robotics | Jan 6, 2020 12:46 AM CST

CES 2020 - CES 2020 is right around the corner, and before everything is about to kick off, we are already hearing about what kind of exhibits we are going to see this year.

CES 2020 will have a 'multitasking bed for sex' & 'sex tech' exhibits

For the first time in 52 years, the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) will feature sex-toy companies on the show floor. Companies behind these sex toys will be promoting their "smart" products through exhibits, and according to WAPO it will include "a multitasking bed for sex and a number of "smart" and Internet-connected vibrators."

CES has recently changed its policy for what it allows at the show. This change of rules came after sex-toy company Lora DiCarlo won a CES innovation award that was later taken away from them due to their product not complying with standing CES policies. The award was later given back to Lora DiCarlo, and CES changed its policies to allow for "sex tech".

Jak Connor | Trade Shows | Jan 6, 2020 12:33 AM CST

CES 2020 - CES 2020 is about to explode with hype as we are already hearing about a slew of strange and awesome products that will be exhibited at the show.

CES gives award to cannabis product, but bans saying cannabis at show

But what if the product you are exhibiting is designed for something you technically cannot mention while you are exhibiting? On top of that, what if your product has also received an Innovation Award Honoree award for CES 2020? Keep Labs has unfortunately fallen into that specific category with their Keep smart storage container that is specifically designed for cannabis.

CTA the trade group behind CES has said to Keep Labs that even though the company has won an award for their Keep storage container they will only be able to exhibit the product if the company's signage, marketing materials and the product is completely free from cannabis, and any cannabis paraphernalia. Due to the product being designed specifically for cannabis, Keep Labs decided it was best not to exhibit at the show.

LG G9 smartphone renders tease 4 cameras, 3.5mm headphone jack

In a world of crazy side-mounted pop-up cameras, foldable displays, and so much more -- LG might be going back to basics with its new G9 smartphone according to the latest leaks.

LG G9 smartphone renders tease 4 cameras, 3.5mm headphone jack

LG's upcoming G9 smartphone should feature 4 rear-facing cameras over the 2 used on the G8X, while throwing an under-display fingerprint sensor into the mix. There is a camera notch at the top, so LG won't be going too fancy with an under-display selfie camera, but it might be enough to stand out from the competition when it comes to pricing on a more 'plain' smartphone.

LG could be keeping the 3.5mm headphone jack on its G9 smartphone, while offering a display somewhere in the 6.7-6.9 inches range. We should expect LG to detail its new G9 smartphone at Mobile World Congress in late February, where Samsung is unveiling its new Galaxy S20/S11 (depending on the rumors) and the new Galaxy Fold 2 on February 11 at its own event.

Xiaomi Mi 10: all-screen, under-display camera could beat Galaxy S20

We've been hearing a bit more on Xiaomi's upcoming Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro smartphones, where I wrote just a couple of days ago that current rumors pegged it to rock a 6.5-inch OLED display at 90Hz.

Xiaomi Mi 10: all-screen, under-display camera could beat Galaxy S20

But now we're seeing new rumors from an alleged screen protector for the Mi 10, where it shows that there are no camera cutouts which means Xiaomi might be using an all-screen design. This would mean under-display cameras and an under-display fingerprint sensor are all but confirmed, if this screen protector is any indication.

We could see a pop-up camera, with fellow Chinese smartphone maker Oppo's purported new smartphone possibly featuring a side-mounted pop-up selfie camera. Xiaomi isn't a stranger to under-display cameras, with company president Bin Lin teasing an Mi 9 prototype that used an under-display camera.
