Kubb Fanless mini PCs offer a compact, passively cooled design in a 120 x 120 x 120mm size that supports AMD Ryzen AI 300 and Intel 'Panther Lake' Core Ultra 300 Series processors. The big difference is the pure aluminum chassis with stylish machined fins integrated into the design for heat dissipation, enabling silent operation without fans.

Turns out one Kubb Fanless customer reportedly ordered a pure and solid-gold version of the Kubb Fanless, which bumped the 2.1kg passively cooled aluminum version up to around 13kg. Of course, that's not the only thing that increased: the €1,595 starting price of a Kubb Fanless mini PC rose to an estimated $1.7 million for this 24-carat gold model.
As reported by FanlessTech, as gold transfers heat anywhere between 30 and 50% faster than aluminum, this custom design also doubles as a passive cooling marvel. That doesn't make it a viable option for any sort of ready-for-retail design, as this is clearly a one-off for a very wealthy customer.
Interestingly, even though you're probably looking at a multiple-thousand-times increase in cost, the chassis is made from pure 24-carat gold, which means it's a $1.7 million mini PC that will likely retain most of its value for as long as it's used. For someone with that much disposable income, it could even be a fun way to invest in gold by turning it into a functioning PC.

Unfortunately, the exact specs of the gold mini PC aren't clear. However, we'd assume it would have top specs: an Intel Core Ultra X7 358H processor with integrated Intel Arc B390 graphics, 128GB of memory, and 1TB of M.2 NVMe Gen4 SSD storage.
