ROG X299 gaming motherboards
The next generation of high-end desktops debuted at Computex today, and ROG was there with three brand-new motherboards designed to help gamers and enthusiasts get the most out of their PCs. The new IntelÃ,Ã,® X299 platform and accompanying IntelÃ,Ã,® Coreâ"Ã,¢ X-series processor family raise the bar for CPU, cores and threads, and memory performance with up to 18 cores and 128GB of quad-channel DDR4 memory. And they add bandwidth for an army of graphics cards and NVM ExpressÃ,Ã,® SSDs with up to 44 PCIeÃ,Ã,® lanes through the CPU and even more from the chipset. It's a gloriously potent foundation that we've used to push the cutting edge for gaming PCs.
We have three models expertly tailored for different priorities: Rampage VI Extreme lives up to its name for creating dream gaming machines with custom liquid-cooling and ultrafast networking; Rampage VI Apex unabashedly targets peak performance and record-breaking overclocking; and ROG Strix X299-E gives gamers the powerful tuning, cooling and personalization options they need to get the most from their rigs. ROG has always been actively involved in case modding, and we took the opportunity at the ROG booth to show off two of its newest projects - ROG Moto-Monster and Halo Master Chief. Both demonstrations come from well-known modders - China's Wei Zheng, also known as Ai-Mask; and Australia's Stephen Hoad, aka Oz Modz - who finished their builds at the ROG press event and leveraged various ROG gaming products in their creations. Ai-Mask's ROG Moto-Mod is reminiscent of his dream Ducati motorcycle, with Strix Z270-E Gaming as its powerful engine; while Oz Modz' Maximus IX Formula-based Halo Master Chief draws its inspiration from the lead character in the famous Microsoft game. ROG is very proud of both of these PC builds and excited to continue creating the best components to fuel future case modding projects.
