After two days of teasing, Rockstar Games has finally let the cat out of the bag: it's Red Dead Redemption 2, folks.
Rockstar today announced Red Dead Redemption 2, a sequel to 2011's landmark Red Dead Redemption. It'll feature an "epic tale of life in America's unforgiving heartland," and deliver a "brand new multiplayer experience." Since Rockstar just filed a trademark for Red Dead Online, we could expect to see a more dynamic GTA Online-style online system for RDR2. Red Dead Redemption 2 will launch Fall 2017 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and a trailer will drop this Thursday at 11am EST.
"Developed by the creators of Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption, Red Dead Redemption 2 is an epic tale of life in America's unforgiving heartland. The game's vast and atmospheric world will also provide the foundation for a brand new online multiplayer experience."
"Red Dead Redemption 2 will release worldwide in Fall 2017 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One systems," reads an update on Rockstar's Facebook.
