Blizzard's new partnership with CD Projekt RED will deliver a Battle.net-exclusive Geralt skin for Diablo IV that may not ever be made available on Steam or other platforms.
The Witcher 3 has been sold pretty much everywhere--at least, everywhere except for Battle.net. Blizzard's new team-up with CD Projekt changes that, bringing The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077 to the Battle.net store. That also means extra bonuses for Battle.net gamers.

Diablo 4's new Geralt skin for the barbarian is exclusive to Battle.net purchases of The Witcher 3's new Songs of the Past expansion. And, of course, in order to play that expansion...you need to buy the base game first. It's worth noting that no one can actually pre-order Songs of the Past just yet.
Because of this, and CD Projekt's penchant for dishing out free updates, upgrades, and even copies of its games, this move seems more aimed at providing an additional bonus for Battle.net users rather than trying to get Steam users to re-buy The Witcher 3 on Battle.net.
CD Projekt has commented on the promotion, saying that the Geralt barbarian skin is a way to better merge the two fantasy worlds, and that more collaborations are coming in 2027.
"We're trying to create these collaborations in a way that makes sense for teams and worlds, but also fans, and I hope that you can see here that we have created something that feels right at home at Sanctuary," said CD Projekt level design lead Miles Tost.
Community manager Amelia Korzycka confirms more crossovers are coming next year:
"The skin is not everything. There will be more coming in 2027, so stay tuned."
The Witcher 3's Songs of the Past expansion is due out sometime in 2027 and The Witcher 3 Remastered is currently available for pre-order on Battle.net for $50 with a September 24 release date.
