AMD has confirmed it will hold the opening keynote speech for IFA 2026, and I'll give you just one guess at the topic.
That's right, it's AI, and VideoCardz noticed that Jack Huynh, who is SVP & GM of Computing & Graphics at AMD, posted the confirmation of the keynote on X (see above).
The full title of the keynote is apparently: "The Era of Personal AI: The Future of Imagination". We're told that Huynh will expand on AMD's "vision of the next era of computing" where "AI transforms the relationship between people and technology".
Cue a bunch of groans from those who are sick of hearing about the future of AI.
What exactly will personal AI entail? Well, given that IFA is a consumer show, you'd imagine that AMD is going to be talking up the benefits of AI for the average person.
However, the thing is that in his recent posts on X, Huynh has been discussing the era of 'personal AI' in terms of 'enterprise-scale personal AI', and Ryzen AI Halo systems sitting on every desk with AI agents running "workflows overnight on their data and seamlessly tapping the cloud only when needed".
How this will be angled under a consumer lens, I'm not so sure. VideoCardz suggests that maybe there'll be some kind of a laptop revelation, which is possible, but not a particularly exciting prospect. We're very unlikely to hear anything about next-gen Radeon or Ryzen desktop CPU products, of course.
IFA kicks off at the start of next month in Berlin, so we haven't got long to wait to find out.

In the meantime, I keep hearing that price hikes on GPUs are going to get worse, and that includes AMD Radeon and NVIDIA GeForce models alike (or indeed Intel's Arc offerings). Team Red itself has previously warned about likely price increases for its GPUs and CPUs in the second half of 2026.
