At Computex in Taipei last month, ASRock showed off a range of PC components to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Taichi brand. The products certainly looked production ready, prompting us to ask when the range would reach store shelves. At the time, ASRock representatives were non-committal, stating the company had not yet reached a decision on whether to sell them. A month on from Computex, it seems as though a release is less likely than ever. As spotted by Videocardz, the 10th anniversary range was only ever meant to be a showcase, and none of the six showcased products will be released.

The products consisted of a pair of motherboards, a power supply, a Radeon RX 9070 XT, a monitor and the 360 HOLO 360mm AIO cooler. We wrote about the X870E and Z890 Taichi 10th Anniversary models. My opinion was that they looked great.
ASRock has even prepared a fully detailed microsite, detailing the brand's history. However, clicking on any of the product images also shows the following quote:
The Taichi 10th Anniversary products are concept products created to celebrate the milestone. There are currently no plans for retail sale.

While the news is a little disappointing, it's not surprising - at least on the motherboard side. Development of next-generation AMD and Intel boards is in full swing, and resources are correctly dedicated to having a full range of boards ready to release from day one. As for the graphics card, monitor, PSU and AIO cooler, does ASRock see waning PC demand amid the RAMpocalypse? Or perhaps its product range is already saturated? Whatever the reason, the 10th Anniversary products looked really good, and it's a shame we won't get to see them.
