Microsoft's seemingly never-ending quest to migrate features from the legacy Control Panel to the Settings app in Windows 11 has taken another few small steps forward with a new preview release.

This is build 26200.5742 in the Dev channel, which has witnessed Microsoft shoving over a bunch of time and language settings, alongside keyboard-related bits and pieces which are arriving in the Settings app.
That includes the ability to change the format of the date and time (in the system tray), as well as the time server, and also to add additional clocks (in the notification center, off the taskbar), and a host of more niche tweaks.
As for the keyboard options, the setting for the character repeat delay has been transferred to the Settings app, as well as the cursor blink rate.
These aren't huge moves, of course, which is no surprise as Microsoft appears to be organizing this migration in extremely slow fashion, with dribs and drabs of options being shuffled across to Settings in the odd preview build from time to time.
Of course, this is just in a test build, so you won't see these options in the Settings app until later this year - maybe not until the release of Windows 11 25H2.
Build 26200.5742 also comes with a refreshed design for the mobile device companion, the side panel off the Start menu for those who've linked their smartphone to their PC (via Phone Link).
This rejig allows Windows 11 users to scroll down to see more of the recent activity on their mobile, expanding the scope of what they can access (check out the new layout in the screenshot above).
