Samsung has officially confirmed its next Unpacked event will kick off on July 9, where we should be introduced to the new Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 foldable smartphones.
The second Unpacked event for 2025 will be held in New York City on July 9 at 10 AM ET / 7 AM PT, where the stream will be made available on both Samsung's YouTube channel, and on its website. We should expect not only the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 foldable smartphones, but new wearables, including the Galaxy Watch 8 series and the new Galaxy Watch Ultra 2025... while I'm hoping for a peek at the new Galaxy G Fold tri-fold handset.
We should also expect to see Samsung show off new software and AI features at its Unpacked event, and hopefully, the stable release of One UI 8. Samsung's new fleet of Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 foldable smartphones are also expected to ship with Android 16 out of the box.
Samsung has teased announcements coming that will "unveil the next evolution of Galaxy AI" and the "ever-expanding Galaxy ecosystem". An expansion of the Galaxy ecosystem -- at least to me -- would be a new tri-fold "Galaxy G Fold" foldable smartphone, and not just refreshes of the Galaxy Z Fold and Galaxy Z Flip families of smartphones.
Samsung said in its email: "With AI leading the way, Galaxy devices are evolving from reactionary smartphones to anticipatory smart companions - transforming how we communicate, create, and connect".
