Wasabi Hot Cloud Storage Service is all about bringing cost-effective, fast, and reliable cloud storage solutions to small, midsize, and enterprise customers. Since 2022, the company has been working closely with KIOXIA to deliver access to SAS and NVMe SSDs.

As part of this collaboration, KIOXIA's high-performance enterprise and data-center NVMe SSDs are now available as part of Wasabi's Hot Cloud Storage Service. This includes KIOXIA's high-speed, low-latency CM7 Series PCIe 5.0 NVMe Enterprise SSDs for server and storage applications, flash-based storage designed for demanding workloads like AI and processing online transactions.
KIOXIA's CM7 Series is available in capacities ranging from 1.6 TB to a massive 30.72 TB. It supports both the 2.5-inch (US) and E3.S SSD form factors and is compliant with PCIe 5.0 and NVMe 2.0 specifications. The CM7 Series is joined by KIOXIA's CD8 Series PCIe 4.0 data center NVMe SSDs, which offer double the bandwidth, 16 GT/s (gigatransfers), compared to traditional PCIe 3.0 SSDs.
The CD8 Series is designed to meet the Open Compute Project (OCP) Datacenter NVMe SSD and NVMe 1.4 specifications, making them versatile for hyperscale and enterprise workloads.
"Wasabi Hot Cloud Storage brings affordable cloud object storage to small, mid-market and enterprise customers including hundreds of state, local and higher education customers," said Pramod Kalyanasundaram, executive vice president of engineering and operations for Wasabi Technologies. "We highly value our technical and business relationship with KIOXIA and rely on their SSDs to deliver high performance and reliability for our robust cloud infrastructure."
"KIOXIA and Wasabi share a commitment to innovation, and we're proud to provide our cutting-edge NVMe SSD technology to power their high-performance cloud storage," said Neville Ichhaporia, senior vice president and general manager of KIOXIA America's SSD business unit. "Together, we're enabling fast, reliable, and scalable cloud storage solutions for modern businesses."
