The update comes as part of the game's year 1 roadmap, with 1.0.4 releasing as planned in early May.
As posted to the game's official subreddit, the update's headliner is the story DLC "The Works of Luis Frost," which throws gamers into an encounter with Luis Frois, providing players with a chance to "help an old friend." The mission will be available by heading to Azuchi, where Luis can be located south of the Merchants' Quarters. The quest becomes available after players complete Yasuke's "The Path He Walks."
Fans will also be pleased to hear that character BIOS have been added to the Codex, allowing you to keep track of the many different friends, foes, and faces you encounter in the world.
The update comes loaded with bug fixes. Notably, it fixes the issues players encountered with deer spawning in the middle of roads and fixes general animation and visual issues.
AC Shadows Title Update 1.0.4 clocks in at 4.67GB on the PS5, 20GB on Xbox Series, and 8.5GB on Steam. Players can take advantage of the new features, once it goes live May 6 at 2PM UTC / 10am EDT / 7AM PT. For the full list of patch notes, you can check out the official post on the game's Steam page.
The next update, scheduled for late May, includes the game's first "special collaboration" - and improvements to photo mode and the parkour gameplay. With updates arriving quickly, AC Shadows players have plenty to look forward to in the coming months.
