The Review

A few months back, Snugg sent me a case for my 2012 Nexus 7. It was great timing, as I was preparing to get myself the new Nexus 7, and would retire the older N7 model to my two and a half year old daughter.

I had never heard of Snugg before that e-mail, but have come to really enjoy the leather case they sent me for my Nexus 7. Let's take a look around the case itself.

As you can see, there's a great touch of quality on the case itself, with 'Snugg' on the front of the case. Flipping it over, we have a small bit of the case that can act as a holder, if you bent the front over and slide it under this little piece of leather.

Next up, we have the case itself opened, without the Nexus 7 tablet inside, and next to it, we have a shot of the Nexus 7 all snugg (pun intended) inside.

Here we have a shot of the tablet in stand mode, and as you can see it sits there perfectly. This is great for watching movies or YouTube videos -something I did quite often with the Snugg case.

On the back is a handle, where you can slide your hand under it and use the Snugg case to hold your Nexus 7 better in one hand, freeing up your other hand to type/tap with. On the right, you can see how it fits in my hand, very comfortably.

And, our last shot of the Snugg case, we have a hole for the Micro-USB port, and 3.5mm headphone/speaker jack.

I used the Snugg case for the 2012 Nexus 7 for a few weeks on and off, to get a feel for it. Standing up, it was great to watch movies or my favorite YouTube subscriptions with. My daughter loved it, as I could put it on her little table for her, and she could watch videos of Peppa Pig or The Wiggles on it, without it falling over.

I could also throw it into her bag for car rides, without having to worry about my tablet getting scratched. Another benefit is that the case has a magnet inside of the front of it, which when opened, will wake your Nexus 7 from sleep. Closing the case puts it to sleep: A nice touch.

All of this for $24.99 on Amazon, and you have yourself a deal. If you were looking for a case for your 2012 model Nexus 7, the Snugg should definitely be on that list.
