However, in 2026, there's probably a third thing we can add to the mix: pricing. ASUS's ROG graphics cards have always been premium, and that extends to pricing that has traditionally made them feel more like boutique options than affordable entry points. Especially when you factor in the game-changing image quality from the new DLSS 4 and DLSS 4.5 suite of technologies, where real-time path tracing in games like Resident Evil Requiem and Cyberpunk 2077 can deliver a cinematic, immersive 100+ FPS in 1440p and 4K. Frame Generation and the new Multi Frame Generation are two relatively controversial DLSS technologies because they leverage AI to generate entire frames to enhance motion clarity and smoothness while maintaining responsive controls via NVIDIA Reflex. Ultimately, it boils down to the fact that the latency of a game running with Multi Frame Generation at 300+ FPS is higher than running the game natively at 300+ FPS. Path Tracing, or Full Ray Tracing, arrived with the GeForce RTX 40 Series and DLSS 3 and is leveling up with the GeForce RTX 50 Series and DLSS 4. It's only possible thanks to AI technologies like DLSS Super Resolution, Ray Reconstruction, and RTX Neural Shader technology like RTX Mega Geometry. It's designed specifically for these technologies, and we're only including native or rasterized performance to highlight just how intensive it is on a GPU as powerful as the GeForce RTX 5070 Ti. In fact, aside from the massive performance boost, these games also look notably worse without DLSS 4.

Path Tracing is still widely seen as next-gen, or as something that has a little way to go before hitting the mainstream, but with the GeForce RTX 5070 Ti being an exceptional GPU for path tracing at 1440p with DLSS 4 and DLSS 4.5, it's now more accessible than ever. And with several big 2026 titles adding path tracing support, including Resident Evil Requiem, Pragmata, Control: Resonant, and 007: First Light, for those who want cinematic immersion when playing single-player games, GeForce is still the only recommended choice. As we see in the results, the overclocked ROG Strix GeForce RTX 5070 Ti is significantly faster than the Radeon RX 9070 XT when it comes to path tracing, and that's before you add Multi Frame Generation into the mix to boost smoothness and motion clarity.

Temperature and Power Efficiency

Quiet and cool, that's the best way to describe the ROG Strix GeForce RTX 5070 Ti when it's sitting there in an open or closed case running the latest hardware-intensive game in 4K. It's also impressively efficient at this resolution, drawing significantly less power, on average, than the Radeon RX 9070 XT and the GeForce RTX 5080. Although the latter is notably faster and what you'd call an enthusiast 4K gaming GPU, having the RTX 5070 Ti's power draw sit well below 300W when gaming is a big tick for those looking for both efficiency and performance. And with ASUS's advanced cooling, we struggled to get the GPU temperature to hit 60 degrees Celsius.

Final Thoughts

The ROG Strix GeForce RTX 5070 Ti OC Edition is easily one of the most premium RTX 5070 Ti GPUs we've seen, from a build quality standpoint to the cooling design and the overclocking potential it brings to the table. This is a card that can significantly close the gap with the RTX 5080 in certain titles, and even with its generous out-of-the-box Boost Clock speed, ASUS's ROG Strix design still runs cooler than NVIDIA's Founders Edition design and several other custom RTX 5070 Ti models on the market. The physical design, too, is stylish and futuristic, with a great mix of metal, transparent elements, and RGB lighting. Unfortunately, all of this comes with a price premium, making it one of the most expensive GeForce RTX 5070 Ti cards.

However, at the end of the day, for those who can justify paying enthusiast-class prices for a gaming GPU, you're looking at one of the fastest on the market. And with the GeForce RTX 50 Series now in its second year, albeit a strange one due to the current memory crisis, it's clear that NVIDIA's focus on neural rendering and bolstering, evolving, and expanding existing technologies like DLSS has been a winner. As ray tracing becomes more common in single-player titles and gaming monitors release with 200+ or even 300+ Hz refresh rates, the option to enable DLSS 4 or 4.5 Super Resolution and Multi Frame Generation in games is becoming increasingly important.
