The Ultimate Slasher Edition for Nintendo Switch is available now at North American retailers

EDISON, NEW JERSEY - Aug. 13, 2019 - Grisly survival horror game Friday the 13th: The Game stalked its way into North American retail stores, now available courtesy of distributor Nighthawk Interactive. Publisher Gun Media and developer Black Tower Studios are bringing the famed franchise to the Nintendo Switch system for the first time with the Ultimate Slasher Edition, featuring the complete original game and all previously released downloadable content* (DLC) - plus the bonus of an 11"x 17" limited-edition poster. Physical Nintendo Switch copies are available now through major retailers for $39.99.

Friday the 13th: The Game is a faithful tribute to the original movie franchise with iconic film locations and character models painstakingly recreated down to the bloody details. The gory game pits eight players against each other, either as one of seven teen counselors, or as iconic killer Jason Voorhees himself. Counselors must search for the tools to survive, escape or even try to take down the infamous murder machine, while Jason must rely on his array of abilities to track, hunt and slaughter his prey. The teens contend with time itself, too, as Jason not only feeds off the fear of his victims, but also becomes stronger as the night progresses.
