July 25, 2019 - The crowd rises to their feet as today Metalhead Software brings you baseball on the go with the release of Super Mega Baseball 2: Ultimate Edition on Nintendo Switch for $29.99 USD. The critically acclaimed baseball game launches as the Ultimate Edition on Nintendo Switch and includes the complete set of Super Mega Baseball 2 content, fully featured online play, and runs at 60 fps in both docked and handheld modes.
Whether a rookie or baseball purist, Super Mega Baseball 2: Ultimate Edition packs a mode for everyone. Compete in ranked Pennant Race mode (1v1), dominate friends in arranged matches (1v1, 2v1, 2v2), or take on the AI (solo, local co-op, online co-op) - all kept fair by Ego, the genre's most flexible difficulty system.
The Ultimate Edition also arrives today on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Steam as a new bundle for $29.99 USD, alongside a price reduction of the base version and its DLCs.
"This will be a great game to play with family and friends on the Switch with the local and online multiplayer features," said Metalhead Co-Founder Scott Drader. "It's also just really well suited to banging out a few innings on your bus ride to work."
Super Mega Baseball 2 received numerous "Sports Game of the Year" nods last year and comes to the Nintendo Switch with no compromises:
- Fully featured online play including cooperative season play and competitive cross-platform matchmaking via the game's Pennant Race mode.
- 60 fps gameplay in both docked and handheld modes.
- Single Joy-Con support for intense shared screen head-to-head and cooperative play.
- Includes all content previously released as DLC on other platforms.
Super Mega Baseball 2: Ultimate Edition is now available on Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC via Steam. Access the press kit and learn more about the game on Twitter, Facebook and Reddit.
