HIS unveils the HIS 4770 512MB (128bit) GDDR5 PCIe, featuring the world's 1st 40nm GPU and most advanced GDDR5 memory
Hong Kong - Apr 28, 2009 - Hightech Information System (HIS) today unveils the HIS HD 4770 512MB(128bit) GDDR5 PCIe, proofing that high performance gaming and price can co-exist without compromise.
HIS Radeon HD 4770 512MB GDDR5 card is based on a new GPU core from ATI. Thanks to the industry's cutting-edge 40nm manufacturing process technology, the power consumption is largely reduced to 80W only. Gamer will get the highest performance per Watt (GFLOPs/Watt) amongst market. It is powered by the 4770 GPU with core speed up to 750MHz and memory speed up to 3.2Gps. With 640 stream processors units and the most advanced GDDR5 memory, the GPU delivers seamless frame rate with incredible speed and processing power.
Peter Yeung, Global Marketing Director for HIS explained the latest advances, "With 640 stream processors and most advanced GDDR5 memory interface, which previously only available in 4800 series, the HIS 4770 has the brute strength needed to tackle the latest 3D games. Gamers can take advantage of the powerful DirectX® 10.1 engine, which delivers unparallel image quality and blindingly fast performance that only comes with HIS 4770 series premium graphics."
"You can even turn your platform into the ultimate media center. UVD2 enables you to get the ultimate visual experience for event the most process-intensive content. Watch the latest High Definition movies
play with incredible fidelity and have the freedom to edit videos with lighting fast speed "
· DirectX® 10.1
Play today while preparing for tomorrow with state-of-the-art DirectX 10.1 graphics capabilities.
· Accelerated Video Transcoding (AVT)
With ATI Stream technology, owners of ATI Radeon HD 4700 series graphics cards can help accelerate the conversion of standard and HD video into multiple formats for use on differing consumer electronics devices. The ATI Video Converter, designed to enable GPU transcoding of HD video streams, is currently available.
· Enhanced Anti-Aliasing & Anisotropic Filtering
High performance anisotropic filtering and 24x custom filter anti-aliasing (CFAA) smooth jagged edges and create true-to-life graphics, for everything from grass to facial features.
· Power to Spare
This GPU has the brute processing power needed for physics, artificial intelligence, stream computing and ray tracing calculations.
· Unified Video Decoder 2 (UVD 2)
UVD 2 frees up your CPU for other tasks so you get The Ultimate Visual Experience for even the most processing-intensive content, including VC-1, H.264 and now MPEG-2. Also, take full advantage of Blu-ray functionality with dual-stream, picture in picture (PIP) capabilities.
· Enhanced DVD Upscaling

· Upscale Beyond 1080p
Watch the hottest Blu-ray movies or other HD content at full 1080p display resolution and beyond..
HDMI Video and Audio
A system with an ATI Radeon HD 4700 Series graphics card can help enhance the HD entertainment experience by providing a seamless connection to an HDTV or home theater system. With built-in 7.1
surround sound audio (AC3 / DTS ), the new GPUs and graphics cards support single cable connection directly to a compatible HDTV, projector or receiver. This single cable carries both the HD video and 8
channel audio for a clean, high definition connection. Some graphics cards will be equipped with an HDMI connector, while others will output the HDMI signal using a special ATI Radeon DVI-I to
HDMI adapter. These options give consumers more options and flexibility when connecting their PCs to monitors or home theaters for maximum enjoyment of HD content. The new GPU also supports xvYCC color which can display a wider range of color when connected to capable HDTVs.
ATI CrossFireX Technology
ATI CrossFireX multi-GPU technology takes your gaming experience to the next level with superb scalability, performance and compatibility. The technology combines the awe-inspiring capabilities of
multiple ATI Radeon graphics cards and an ATI CrossFireX ready motherboard to meet the hard-core demands of your alternate reality. New ATI Radeon HD graphics cards are designed with an internal
ATI CrossFire Bridge Interconnect system to simplify installation.
Microsoft® Windows Vista
ATI Radeon HD 4770 series graphics cards provide support for the Microsoft® Windows Vista® operating system and take advantage of the Windows Aero graphical interface. You will be amazed by the dazzling 3D visual effects and have peace of mind that the ATI Catalyst software and drivers are designed and thoroughly tested to ensure full compatibility and stability to help keep you up and running. All these new technologies and features make the ATI Radeon HD 4770 series of GPUs the ideal solution for ultimate HD gaming and HD video entertainment with the Windows Vista OS.
