But now, Alibaba has a huge milestone for its 2018 annual Global Shopping Festival with a huge $1 billion sold in 85 seconds and $10 billion sold in the first hour. Considering how big the US market is and how popular Black Friday sales are, Black Friday 2017 saw $5 billion in online sales... a number that doesn't begin to come close to the first HOUR of Alibaba's annual sale this year.
