At just 27 years old, actor 'Anton Yelchin', best known for roles in 'Star Trek', 'Terminator Salvation' and 'Green Room' has tragically died in a freak car accident.

According to Variety, the young actor died when he became pinned by a vehicle in his driveway. Yelchin portrayed Chekov in J.J. Abram's 'Star Trek' and 'Star Trek Into Darkness'. His colleagues has rallied, posting heartfelt tributes on social media today.

Yelchin will be seen in the forthcoming 'Star Trek Beyond', which hits cinemas next month.
