The U.S. Concumer Product Safety Commission in cooperation with Acer America Corp. has issued a recall for Acer Predator desktop PC's.

Acer has received two reports of the computers short circuiting, causing melted components and external casing. Both events occurred outside the U.S. Apparently some of the insulation on the computer's internal wiring can become bent or stripped, causing the wires to overheat while the product is in use.

Acer Predator desktops involved in the recall have model numbers ASG7200 and ASG7700 and the model numbers can be found on the bottom right side of the right case side.

The U.S. CPSC says that consumers should stop using the recalled computers and contact Acer to schedule a free repair. You can contact Acer at (866) 695-2237 or visit their website.
