Capcom continues its sales success streak with the debut of its new intellectual property, Pragmata, which became a platinum seller right out of the gate.

Pragmata, Capcom's latest sci-fi action game set in a new IP, has established itself as a hit with 1 million copies sold in just 2 days.
"As a completely new IP, PRAGMATA represents a new challenge for Capcom, built from the ground up with an original world and gameplay concept. We are truly delighted that so many players around the world have enjoyed the game, enabling us to reach this milestone of one million units sold. Moving forward, we will continue making every effort to deliver the appeal of PRAGMATA to an even broader audience," the game's dev team said in a press release.

Those are strong sales for any new game, especially one set in a fresh series. This milestone also kicks off Capcom's new fiscal year with strong momentum--Pragmata launched in April, shortly after Capcom's new fiscal timeline began--and amplifies the publisher's multi-platform focus.
The news comes shortly after Capcom shared a substantial sales milestone for the popular best-seller Resident Evil 9 Requiem, which moved a strong 6 million copies in 14 days of sales.
Capcom aims to achieve 50 million game sales by the end of March 31, and while Pragmata's sales technically won't be included in this tally because it launched outside of that fiscal year window cut off, the publisher is close to the target and may have actually surpassed it thanks to heavily-discounted games on multiple platforms.
As we noted previously, pre-orders for Pragmata were surprisingly high on the PlayStation Store, where the game ranked in the top 5 pre-orders across multiple global charts.
Capcom notes that Pragmata's launch on Nintendo Switch 2 also helped prime sales for the new IP, and we could see expansions and/or DLC content roll out alongside well-timed sales/discounts and maybe a game of the year edition for Pragmata in early 2027.
