The director of Marvel Rivals has commented on whether a port of the game for the Nintendo Switch 2 is currently in development.

In a recent interview with Video Gamer, Guangyun Chen, the Marvel Rivals game director, touched on bringing the popular team-based shooter over to Nintendo's new console, with the game director saying that NetEase is still trying to obtain a Nintendo Switch 2 developer kit. This means a port hasn't even begun yet, with Chen explaining that once a Switch 2 developer kit has been obtained, they can evaluate whether Marvel Rivals can run on the Nintendo Switch 2 and then provide a response to fans.
Reports state that Marvel Rivals was tested for the Nintendo Switch, but due to the hardware limitations of the console, the developers of Marvel Rivals decided against releasing a port on the Switch 1, as the in-game performance didn't meet the team's standards.
"We are in the process of obtaining the development machine for NS2," explained Chen. "Once we have it, we will conduct a thorough evaluation and provide a response."
Considering the games that are releasing on the Nintendo Switch 2, I don't think NetEase will have a problem getting Marvel Rivals to run on Nintendo's latest console. If titles such as Cyberpunk 2077 and Fortnite can run on the Switch 2, Marvel Rivals shouldn't have a problem being ported over.
Hopefully, NetEase obtains a Switch 2 developer kit sometime soon, performs internal testing on the new handheld, and then informs their audience of a Marvel Rivals Switch 2 port being in the works.
