Apple has announced that its Worldwide Developers Conference will kick off on June 9 this year.

In fact, WWDC 25 will run from June 9 to 13, as revealed by the brief press release Apple has posted.
The company states:
"Available for free to all developers, WWDC 25 will spotlight the latest advancements in Apple software. As part of Apple's ongoing commitment to supporting developers, the conference will provide them with unique access to Apple experts, as well as insight into new tools, frameworks, and features."
We're told that WWDC will come bristling with online video sessions, as well as "opportunities to connect with Apple engineers and designers in online labs."
The key question is what revelations might we expect in terms of new hardware and software? It'd be a shocker if we didn't witness the unveiling of iOS 19 (and iPadOS 19), as well as macOS 16, of course (and other operating system refreshes besides).
If you've not been following the gossip around Apple's operating systems, iOS 19 is the one to watch for the biggest changes, with a major overhaul expected for the mobile platform.
That said, if you were hoping to finally get the long-awaited fully fleshed out AI Siri (LLM Siri) with iOS 19, according to reports, this won't be part of what's shown off at WWDC 25. In theory, that's been delayed to iOS 20 - but those rumors could always prove incorrect.
We don't know much about macOS 16 yet, but speculation suggests it'll get a major revamp for the interface in step with iOS 19 (and indeed iPadOS 19).
As for hardware, there's nothing on the horizon for the big event as far as the rumor mill is concerned, and we didn't see anything last year at WWDC 24 - but we have seen new devices introduced at the conference in the past. So never say never, we guess, but it isn't a likely prospect.
