Our Verdict

It's a different world out there today with the countless mobile devices we all use everyday, and the simple fact is they require charging everyday. Patriot's FUEL Station Mini makes this job much, much easier!

Introduction, Specifications & Pricing and Close Up

After enjoying most of what Patriot has sent me over the last year or so, I've come to notice just how many devices I use that are USB-powered. Smartphones, tablets, mobile batteries, Bluetooth speakers and so much more - with my PC running out of USB ports, I tend to use my bigger, more powerful mobile batteries to charge everything else. That was, however, until Patriot's FUEL Station Mini arrived.

The Patriot FUEL Station Mini has four USB ports, making it capable of juicing up four devices simultaneously, which is just insane. Two of the ports are 1A, while the other two are full 2.1A ports. The 1A ports are good for charging up tablets, while the 2.1A ports will get your smartphone charged up quicker than you can say 'whippity snap' - or whatever you want to say, really.

Input wise, it takes 100-240V power with its built-in power supply, weighs just 160g (or 0.35 pounds). It's nice and portable, fitting in your hand easily, and better yet - your luggage. You can pick up the Patriot FUEL Station Mini for just $24.99 on Amazon at the time of writing.

Charging Your Devices Has Never Been Quicker

Using the Patriot FUEL Station Mini

I really packed the FUEL Station Mini with a workload, throwing four high-end devices at it, charging them nearly 24/7 for a couple of weeks. I was charging (in no particular order): Sony Xperia Z2 smartphone, Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet, a Nexus 5, LG G3, NVIDIA's Shield Tablet, and various chargers.

It was great, as I was able to charge up my chargers using the 2.1A ports, while I was sticking my tablets on the 1A ports. Being able to charge up so many USB-powered devices was great, as I normally have a few charged-up portable chargers charging my devices throughout the day - now, well, there's no need for that.

There's not much else to talk about here, as it's a charger that charges up your devices, and it does it extremely well.

What's Hot

Charge All The Devices!: Oh boy, the ability to charge up all of my devices at once, including mobile batteries for my journeys throughout the day is just glorious. Four USB ports all primed up ready to charge your devices - have at it.

Sleek, No Nonsense Design: There aren't any crazy LEDs here, no insane design or 16 USB ports all at 0.1A each. Patriot has kept its cool, as usual, with a great-looking, super-functional device with its FUEL Station Mini.

What's Not

There's nothing that Patriot has done wrong with the FUEL Station Mini, as it's something that 'just works', and at a reasonable price. It has four USB ports to charge up your devices, and it does so super easily.

Final Thoughts

Patriot, you've provided me with a product that I will use until it dies. Something like this a few years ago would've seemed unnecessary, and to most people it still is. But for those who have kids, or multiple devices throughout the house, it is the perfect device.

You could have this sitting on your kitchen counter, or in your office, charging up your various devices thanks to its USB ports. It doesn't matter if you have an iPhone or iPad with its Lightning connector, as you still plug in your USB cable into it. The same goes for any tablet or smartphone you have, because at the end of the day, the opposite side of that cable is USB.

If you're a super-user when it comes to mobile devices, the Patriot FUEL Station Mini is what you need under the Christmas tree this year.
