Lightning continues to strike from MSI. Today we find out if it can strike again with the GTX 480 variant of the series.

The temperature of the core is pulled from MSI Afterburner with the max reading used after a completed run off 3DMark Vantage and the Performance preset.

The MSI GTX 480 Lightning at 900MHz isn't the hottest card here, but it does indeed run quite warm compared to a lot of other setups. The extra voltage across a number of areas would be the main reason for that.
