The price gap between the RX 7800 XT and 7700 XT graphics cards is now a full $100 when you look at the most affordable models on sale currently.

We saw this graphics card at the $480 mark already this year, but now an ASRock Challenger RX 7800 XT board is back down at that price.

RX 7900 'Golden Rabbit Edition' is set to hop onto US shelves, but this GPU will get a dubious reception if it does launch next week as rumored.

The 7800 XT is being pushed up in price due to demand, while the 7700 XT is heading in the other direction - so does the latter GPU now make sense?

That said, no one seems to have a very clear idea of what the next model (or models) might be, with AMD supposedly undecided on which path to take.

Current plans indicate that AMD will launch the Radeon RX 7600 GPU while holding off on the Radeon RX 7700 XT and RX 7800 XT due to the current GPU market.
