A new GTA 6 leak has surfaced showing Jason browsing a video game store inside the game, and yes, we know the irony. We're not linking to or showing the leaked clip itself, since Rockstar has been aggressively issuing DMCA takedowns and pursuing legal action against the leaker.
The footage, posted by the leaker known as Cyberleek, shows Jason walking into a strip mall electronics shop called "Game Horde." It sells PlayStation-style consoles, physical games, controllers, phone cases, and even earbuds and headphones in different colors, which the player can buy.
Several of the in-store "games" are also parodies of real-life games from both Rockstar and other publishers. Apparently, one of the games on the shelf, "Cam Headz," is actually a returning reference to an arcade game from GTA Online that itself parodies Manhunt.
The irony is heavy with this one. GTA 6's own physical editions won't include a disc at launch, just a code in a box redeemable through PlayStation or Xbox. That decision sparked a real backlash back when Rockstar first confirmed it, with some retailers refusing to stock the game entirely.
Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick later defended the move, noting the business is now "well over 90 percent digital." Seeing a fictional store selling actual discs to Jason, in a game that won't do the same for its own players, is the kind of detail that writes its own headline.
Cyberleek attached a message to this leak trying to clarify their earlier manifesto about digital ownership. That's a fair point on its own, though it's worth noting that the same leaker is also selling a cryptocoin and charging for early-access votes on future leaks, which muddies the message somewhat.
