Jonah Hill is has been getting more and more serious since his comedic start in Superbad, riding into huge movies like Wolf of Wall Street and many more, but now he's going to be directing a new Instagram TV series about bullying.
The new 4-episode series is called Un-filtered and will be on Instagram's own IGTV channel, on both its mobile app and the internet. The new unscripted TV series will see Hill interview people aged between 13-25 about bullying, both online and in real-life.
Hill said in a statement: "It was an incredible experience to direct this project. I tried to create an environment for young people to be heard and listened to. I wish there was a platform to hear other's struggles and experiences when I was growing up. I hope that this will be inspiring for young people to share their stories and feelings and not feel so alone".
Why the title 'Un-filtered'? It's a reference to Instagram users and the infamous photo filters that you use on the app -- un-filtered = no filter.
Janine Gianfredi, Instagram's director of consumer marketing talked about the show, saying: "We're really proud of 'Un-filtered,' our newest IGTV series, directed by Jonah Hill, that features real teens sharing the experiences and challenges they face every day. At Instagram, we're committed to elevating the voices of the next generation and that means providing a safe place where they feel comfortable to express themselves".
