A new trailer for the upcoming RPG title BioMutant has been released revealing some brand new never before seen enemies and awesome environments.
The trailer has been released onto IGN's YouTube Channel and begins with some great overview shots of some pretty unique area's or biomes players will be able to enjoy. We can spot a 'blocky' castle that seems to change appearance as it becomes night, this raises the question to whether other area's across the map will also alter appearance as the day/night cycle falls upon them.
We are the introduced to a big burly like enemy wearing a top hat (screenshot located in entirety of post), then we are quickly thrown back into some great contrasting environments. Starting off, we have our main protagonist traversing a snow area on the back of what seems to be a wolf? Then we get a great overview shot of a forest, followed by a side-scrolling shot of a tropical area into yet another massive enemy.
Without going into too much of an analysis, this game seems like it has quite a lot of potential, I get a bit of a Jak and Daxter kind of vibe with the world. Unfortunately from what the trailer shows us, it seems quite unfinished or just overall unpolished. I really do hope that Experiment 101 and THQ Nordic don't rush this project as it is certainly a title I would love to get my hands-on, but if its clunky, lacks depth or just seems rushed I feel as if many people will actively avoid it until it is fixed. Biomutant is planned for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in 2019.
