Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Season 3 is set to arrive on April 2, 2026, and ahead of the official launch, Dave Chappelle has been made available as a new operator within the store.
The season 3 update is quite beefy with new content, as there are new multiplayer maps, modes, Zombies map, a new Warzone Point of Interest (POI), and additional cosmetics. Included in the Season 3 update is the Half-Baked Tracer Pack, which is a reference to the movie of the same name starring Dave Chappelle.
The new pack features the Dave Chappelle operator and two skins inspired by his character in the movie. Additionally, the pack features new blueprints, weapon charms, and a new finishing move called "Fish Food".
This pack continues Call of Duty's trend away from a "grounded military" tone and more toward celebrity/pop culture crossovers. In the past, Call of Duty released a Nicki Minaj operator, did a The Boys collab, and has Messi/Neymar skins.
Furthermore, the "Half-Baked" pack also leans into the comedy/stoner theme present in the film. Beyond cosmetics, Season 3 also introduces gameplay-focused additions, including new weapons and a returning fan-favorite map rotation that leans heavily into Black Ops nostalgia.
Activision is also experimenting with limited-time modes such as the parkour-style Freerun experience that removes combat entirely. In other news, Grand Theft Auto 6 is currently undergoing a fat-trimming procedure by Rockstar, which enables its developers to "go nuts" with the creative side of designing in-game worlds.
