Battlefield 6 will support AI upscaling at launch, including NVIDIA DLSS, AMD FSR, and Intel XeSS. Intel has even confirmed that Battlefield 6 will support its new XeSS 2 upscaling when the game launches in October, and it should be live inside of the upcoming beta weekends coming soon.
We have already seen the PC system requirements for Battlefield 6 and they're pretty tame considering how good the game looks, as well as its next-gen physical destruction technology, with NVIDIA's mid-range GeForce RTX 3060 Ti 8GB graphics card running the game without a problem.
But, you'll want all of the performance you can squeeze out of your system and that's where AI upscaling technology like DLSS, FSR, and XeSS steps in. Battlefield 6 can reportedly run on Intel's not-so-fast Arc A380 graphics card at 1080p 30FPS on low settings, which gives you an idea of how well optimized the game seems (and it's still in beta form).
We know from leaked information on Battlefield 6 that NVIDIA DLSS, AMD FSR 3 and Intel XeSS 2 upscaling tech will be supported, but NVIDIA hasn't confirmed DLSS 4 and AMD hasn't confirmed FSR 4. With a game as big as Battlefield 6, I would dare say we'll see the latest upscalers from both NVIDIA and AMD confirmed before launch.
The alpha builds of Battlefield 6 reportedly pack frame generation (FG) and DLAA support, so there's hope that we'll see the impressive DLSS 4 and FSR 4 upscalers on Battlefield 6.
Nicolas Thibieroz, Senior Director, Game Engineering, Intel, explains: "Battlefield 6 is an incredible showcase for what gamers can do on an Intel-powered system, and we're honored to be working with EA to help deliver an experience worthy of the Battlefield franchise. Bringing Intel features like XeSS 2 to Battlefield 6 at launch means players are going to get the best experience when they game on an Intel-powered system".
Christian Buhl, Studio Technical Director, added: "Battlefield 6 represents an all-new level of ambition and dedication to the franchise and to our players' experience. Intel have been incredible partners to work with when it comes to building the best possible experience for our Intel PC players when they experience All Out Warfare this October".
