The duplicate item glitch that was abused by some gamers in the original Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is still present in the remake.

Eurogamer noticed the presence of the cheat which allows you to dupe items and make a pile of them to sell for a profit.
While the glitch remains, it doesn't work quite the same way as it did with Bethesda's RPG way back in 2006.
If you need to know the full details of the new method, Eurogamer has a guide here.
The gist of it is that the glitch involves using a storage medium (a barrel for example) and multiple items (such as arrows, five or more of them), dragging them across to the storage in a certain way.
For PC players, as Eurogamer points out, this means the following:
"Put one of the selected item in storage then drag the rest of the item from your character's inventory over to stack on the one in storage, then press enter twice instantly after doing so."
It works a bit differently on console, as explained in the guide, but the upshot is there's a knack to getting it right, and sometimes the duplicated number isn't quite what it should be.
In short: the glitch is glitchy - but keep on at it, and before long you'll be able to dupe a fair quantity of items in a relatively short space of time. You can then sell them to make money.
Alternatively, you could take the plunge with some of the cheat-centric mods which are now out (along with a bunch of other stuff, including some vital optimization mods which are well worth checking out). For example, there's a 'starter cheat chest' mod that gives you a million gold and a whole bunch of armor, weapons and other goodies, no messing around and funky-pressing-enter-timing needed. (Although as ever, download mods at your own risk).
