3DA: You previously developed Ironstorm, and it would appear there are some similarities to this game. Can you explain if Ironstorm influenced this title at all and just the entire premise of the title?

B.O.S is not Ironstorm 2. We can say that B.O.S has inherited some of Ironstorm's background features, such as the war which has rage since 80 years about...But we wanted B.O.S to have a new story, a new universe and above all new gameplay based on duels.

3DA: You have said that levels will be set in Europe, Alaska and Cuba. Have you done any 'on the ground' research at these locations and will people be able to pick out something such as a landmark from those areas in the missions?

Levels will be set in Europe, Alaska, Cuba and United States. Most of our researches were 'on the Web' ones. We singled out the atmosphere of the levels with designs based on typical locations, but you won't recognize a precise place. The towns of Cuba for example have an atmosphere which is reminiscent of Havanna, with its coloured buildings and vintage cars.

3DA: The game sounds very multiplayer centered. Can you give examples of what people will have to do in the single player missions. Is it a game focused towards an Unreal Tournament style game or more focused on storyline ?

No! We haven't done a game in the style of Unreal Tournament! The single player missions are focused on a storyline. The Player will have to complete many objectives to make the story progress. But during the missions, he will have to duel with the Champions of the Bet On Soldier League too.

3DA: How will the gambling factor into the game? What do people gain other than respect from winning matches? Will it be possible for a player to go from the top to the bottom in one bet?

It depends on the difficulty the player has selected. On the hardest level, it would be possible for a player to lose a lot of money in one bet, perhaps all the money they earned before. Of course not in Easy level. But you should not be too shy if you want to finish the game. You have to pay for everything in this game (armors, weapons, ammos and even saves), so you have to earn a lot of money...That's the purpose of the B.O.S program.

3DA: How are you handling the online virtual gambling in terms of stopping cheating and people leaving matches because they are losing ?

The concept of the B.O.S multiplayer mode will seriously limit the way to cheat. You'll have to duel with Champions to earn money and make your team win. When you win a duel you've bet on, you'll earn some cash. The Team Score will increase with the money you earn. If you lose, you lose your stake and the Team Score doesn't increase. The duels will take place in limited areas. So if you leave the area before the end of the duel, you lose the gambling, you lose money and your Team Score doesn't increase...

3DA: What type of multiplayer modes can people expect to play in the game? Deathmatch, CTF etc?

The B.O.S multiplayer mode is an original mode which enhances Deathmatch and CTF with a betting system. You'll have squad based encounters to conquer Tickets Terminals. These Terminals will give to your team Bet Tickets. These Bet Tickets will allow the players of your team to bet and duel with players of the opponent team. When you win your duel, you make your team score, as I explained before. So, the B.O.S mode will be the only mode available at the release date of the game.

3DA: You mention that the game will be using high end graphics technology. If people want to get the most out of the game what type of graphics board will they need and if someone is using a lower end PC, what will they be missing out on in the game?

NO you don't a have to buy a WAR PC to play BoS. It will be playable with A P3 with a Geforce 3.

3DA: It has taken six years to develop the engine which this game uses. What is so revolutionary about it and why did it take so long. What can gamers expect to see that they have never seen before from engines such as Source?

The development of the Kt Engine theoretically started 6 years ago as the actual engine is the natural evolution of our previous engine. This factor is important for us as the team can focus on the game. We can easily extend the performance of the engine, from one hardware generation to the next. Moving from DX8 to DX9 was easy in fact.

3DA: Have you got any idea on a demo release time as yet? What will the demo include and will it be out before the final game?

Yes we planned to release a demo (single mode) for May 2005 and a multiplayer demo a little later.

3DA: If there is anything we haven't covered but you would like to speak about then feel free. Tell us why everyone should be wanting this game.

B.O.S is an original FPS, with an original universe and beautiful graphic design. You'll be able to duel with more than 40 Champions, and use 40 Weapons.
